Photo Screeners I Need Your Help.....

Wed Aug 28, 2002 12:56 am

The other day I uploaded a photo of a China Airlines Cargo 747 and I never got an answer, so I uploaded it again today. While I was going through the popular photos for the last 24/48 hours I found my photo but it said that it was taken by Danny Masson.

Could you put my name on it and delete the second one I uploaded?

Matt,

This looks like one of the classic situations where two photos get mixed up because the file names are the same - notice it says its a 737-800 too. Sadly for you, the screeners can't help because we can't access the details of a photo once its in the database. You need to contact the corrections editor.

Here's the corrections editor's e-mail: andrew@airliners.net

About the files getting mixed up, it could happen if you send jpeg files with the same name as someone else's. Johan's scripts normally rename them automatically in that case, but for some reason it doesn't work every time. So this often happens to pictures with names like 1.jpg, or something obvious like that.

Andrew might be quite busy, but if you write him with Subject: URGENT - MIXED UP PHOTO / PHOTOGRAPHER, it will get his attention. Make sure he understands what went wrong, so that he only has to correct it one time. At worst, if he is not clear on the error, he might blow out the photo and ask you to resubmit from scratch.

Cheers,
