For The Future - Where's The Mistake Here?

Wed Sep 04, 2002 4:26 pm

Hello Airliners!

I just got some photos accepted,  Big thumbs up "Jippie!", and, how familiar, many were rejected caused by blurry, unsharpness ect. But I can't explain what I've done wrong with the following photos. Can you solve the problem here? I don't wanna make the same mistake in a few weeks again.  Wink/being sarcastic

This photo was rejected because of some people walking out of the plane. You're night allowed to photograph people when you don't have their OK.
but what's with this one?  Confused

This photo was rejected because of the bad motiv. Why?
And what's about the following?

I really like that one - doesn't show that, yes, dramatic - power? Big grin

1) Pieter took a picture out of the cockpit of the last Sabena flight (SN690, check my nick). After the aircraft had landed, the Sabena staff made a big circle around the aircraft. This is what you see on the picture. So this one is accepted because it is a unique shot, and a special shot. And BTW: the faces are hardly visible. In your picture, the faces are visible very clear.

2) In the picture of Jorgos, you can see the runway. In your picture, you can not see the airport, and you can not see the cockpit itself (too dark).

3) Again too dark. If you would have seen more of the cockpit, it would have been accepted maybe.

4) No part of the aircraft visible (no wing I mean). Just some black. And your picture shows no airport, nothing, just a landscape. If you would have taken this picture with a wing on it, it would have had a much higher chance to become accepted.

Otherwise, your pictures have a good quality! Keep on shooting, just try to shoot a better motive next time Big grin

Frederic

No 1.) I totally agree with Frederic.
No 2.) the same. The only thing clearly visible is the pilots watch.
No 3.) doesn't show that, yes, dramatic - power . Hmm it just shows the pilots hand laying relaxed on the levers. And he is wearing a Citizen watch and its about 8:15
No 4.) Frederic is right again.

Oh and the quality is fine yes. may be some flash would have helped you on No2, so that the panel would be visible too. Or maybe you have enough detail in your original camera file to lihghten up the dark areas. Try it.

Markus,

In photo number 3, I would prefer the female power! Much better, than watching a men´s hand Big grin

Also I think Peter wouldn´t reject that one!
