My Turn: My First Photo On Airliners.net!

After a dozen “What’s wrong this this picture” and “Is my film type correct” style questions and spending $1200 on a new Canon EOS Elan and a CanoScan FS2710 scanner, I Have finally had my photo placed on Airliners net!!  Big thumbs up

While it is a simple Northwest DC9 at IAH, I am still very happy to see the screeners have accepted my photo!

Nice job Shawn! Great pic...I've seen it around many times already...

Is your scanner negative/slide or flatbed? What kind of film did you use?

Congrats as well.
My first pic got through about a month ago, and today I received 2 rejections :-(

About the 1000th pic post, I almost understood Picture viewed 1000 times  Smile/happy/getting dizzy (a few more plugs and I'll be there  Wink/being sarcastic )

Congratulations Shane, i remember the feeling when i got my first pic online Big grin
I was in Tenerife and i went to a hotel which had an Internet machine in it so i went online, but didnt log into my e-mail account....
I was browsing through a.net and stumbles across a pic with my name on it, made my holiday  Laugh out loud

Thanks, guys. That particular photo had been scanned 3 or 4 times, and tweaked in different ways; it seems I tweaked it the right way this time!

The film was Fuji Astia 100, and a Canon FS-2710 film scanner.
