A Little Help Please

Wed Nov 13, 2002 12:09 pm

I got these two photos rejected. The first one I really like (not sure why). Is there any way to help it? The second one was rejected for badmotive. This was the effect that I was trying to get. I think its nice you?

Maybe a little extra USM on the first. I like it. Looks good.

The second one. Hmm.....Try cropping out the window frame on both sides and get a more condensed "i'm looking out the window" feel. I'm no master photographer, but give it a try and see what happens. Leave a little on the left but crop the right!

Matt, the first one is not level.

The 2nd one does not show anything of particular interest out the window - pretty mundane clouds.

..and perhaps not sharp enough either.

keep shooting though !!!

I really like the first one! (And the jetBlue tails...)

I see you favor the Halmar Customs building.. yeah, well, so do I. Great place.

You know what would be a cool shot? Those airborne express DC9 and DC8 that face eachother? Shoot that through the chainlink.. awesome shot!

Anyway, the second one has some serious noise issues, and I think there is just too much other stuff.

Keep shooting though, they are extrodinary pictures!

Matt, I like the Lan Chile. Just sharpen it up a little bit.

As for the window shot, I would crop it vertical but still it would suffer from being of little interest.  Sad

Looks like an Olympus digital.

What you need to do is adjust levels. If you don't have levels, then push the contrast up a little bit, then sharpen.
