Selling Prints On Ebay?

Sat Nov 16, 2002 11:37 am

Just curious, has anyone ever done this? Do you think it would even work - selling prints of your hi-res airliners.net uploads by advertising them on ebay?

There was a previous post about this

if i remember correctly it was a thumbs down opinion. Do a search on e-bay and see what you come up with. Probably not much.

...I wouldn't waste my time. I have negatives- that I make prints from on Kodak paper. All sizes-4x6-=-8x10-=-11x14,,, I did very well in the past, tho' I don't do it anymore, EBAY is too much work-if you work a normal work week, and then come home and have 6 hours of EBAY work every night, then a trip to the post office-and wait in line 30+ minutes behind all the other EBAY fools waiting with their 15 boxes and such with only 2 tellers at the counter-ya know-it doesn't take a Rhodes scholar to figure it out.....

hahaha....that was pretty funny, SJC!

Actually had another idea. I think this could be a good moneymaker this time of year. Take 12 of your best photos, and create a calendar on your computer, and if you have a decent photo quality printer you can print Calendars...people buy 'em this time of year! Just think....an "aviation" calendar! I'm sure its been tried before though.

Calendars aren't profitable either, unless you give customer the option of picking the 13 photos themselves. I did this a few years ago and even though I sold some and technically made a profit it wasn't much at all. I decided it wasn't worth the time anymore.
