Tough Time Reading The Regi....HELP!

Mon Nov 18, 2002 1:24 am

Two of my three pics in the database are of an ATA 737-83N.

I do not have a regi for that plane, which I am dying for, especially since it was the plane that gave me my first anet picture.

In two pictures, I can see the regi from an angle, but I can't quite read it.

I was wondering what I can do to it, if anything, in photoshop, to help make it look a little visible.

I then hope to cut that asection of the picture and post it in a forum to let people guess what it might be.

Anyone know enough about Photoshop to be able to help me?

Is it totally unreadable?
Does the aircraft have a name?

I think I can help you to read the REG, just send me part of the fuselage of the aircraft, and maybe the nose too.

This is one picture that you can see the regi in. The other one that you cna kinda see it will not be accepted on this site because its not a great shot.

This picture is also edited already, so that might have affected the ability to figure out the regi.

It might help if someone can get a list of all the ATA regis. I know it starts with N and ends with TZ. "N***TZ", probably N3**TZ.

I'll edit the raw images best i can and post it.

Click on these links to see the raw cuts of the area of the regis. I hope this helps. Save them and play with them on pshop if you need to.

Those just look like a big blur to me!! if those are the actual raw pics with nothing done to them then i dont know what to say. Try to see the Nose Landing Gear door in your photo. With ATA, there is a 3-digit # on the gear door that is also the middle part of the reg #. On my upload, it was #323 which corresponds to N323TZ.

All 737-800s of ATA have #s in the range N301TZ thru N339TZ. So at least you know you only have a 1 in 39 chance of guessing it right!  Smile

I'm sorry....I messed up reading the Census. You have a better chance now:

The last delivered 737 was N326TZ. 327 thru 339 are future deliveries.

Now your chances increase to 1 in 25 if you guess!! LOL

N301TZ thru N326TZ.

It's simple....rotate the photo 90 degrees so it becomes a side shot, then you should be able to read the reg  Nuts

Are there any good movements database sites for that particular airport. The accurate date & time should be on the original file and if it was the only ATA 738 around that time then it should be possible to look up the reg.

Regards,
Craig.

Phil,

If I were you, I would call or email to ATA (Dispatch Department) and ask them for the tail numbers (or Registration numbers).

Be sure tell them when did you saw the ATA B738, where and the flight numbers.

I am sure that ATA would be very happy to assist you.

Cheers!

Not a correction, but an update, yes.
