Help! Problem With Sony F707 Colors.

Tue Nov 26, 2002 2:02 am

Hi,

I'm just wonder how I can improve the colors in my photos with the Sony F707. I see my photos too green or blue. There is something I can do to solve this problem?? Buying a filter to correct the colors?? Also I have a sharp problem, what can I do to get a nice sharpness in my photos?

For the F707, what settings are the best for taxing planes?

I will really apreciate your anwsers.

Kind Regards,

Felipe Escalona

Use white balance..

And for sharpness use Photoshop or something else photoedit software.

As per another recent thread regarding the F707, be wary of using Photoshop to resize your images. I did a controlled test using Photoshop and PhotoPaint, and PhotoPaint resized the image "cleaner" than Photoshop could. What's frustrating is that Photoshop only does this to my F707 images - it works fine with images I've tried from the D60, D100, D30, CP5000, and CP800.

I'm still investigating why this is...stay tuned.

prob has to do with the color space the F707 uses. Have you checked the forums at dpreview.com or fredmiranda.com

I have heard a lot of critisism about this camera ... white balance this .... dark shadow that ..... mine has proved excellent so far !

In my opinion it could well be down the the settings you are using , for example are you adjusting the white balance ? and are you sellecting different metering options ?

it has taken me a good while to try and get a good image.... i now try and NOT use any "improvement software"

these images are taken with the 707 and no tweeking done to them at all..... just re-sized !

I always try the "outdoor" setting on white balance with my F707. After comparing this with the "normal" setting, I decide, which one I will use for the next few shots. But color isn't really a problem, as long as you have a photo editing software on your computer. On Photoshop, playing around with tone and levels should help enough.

So far I never experienced any problem while resizing in Photoshop LE. I only use USM, and that's more than enough.

Tony: nice pics!!

Hi,

Thanks a lot for your posts. Well, the airport here have a very slow traffic, thats why I havent tried the camera as I liked. So now with your help, I hope to get better results.

Tony, I haven't adjusting the whit balance, I will try now. And the different metering options neither. That could be the problem.

For Example, for those shot which one do you used?

Thanks a lot,

Felipe

P.S Tony, great pics. really nice!
