Delicious Lens Available For EOS Slr/dslr Users

Thu Dec 05, 2002 3:04 am

I have decided to put my 70-200 F2.8 L lens up for sale as I will be going with the 70-200 F2.8 IS shortly. If anyone here is interested in making a fair offer before I put her on Ebay, please contact me directly. 3 weeks ago I put my 15mm F2.8 on here and it went quickly to a lucky Ainet photographer (except for a snafu at the post office). If you want to see samples of how the lens performs, most of the action shots on ainet that i've taken were taken with this lens. Like all my equipment, it is in perfect condition, just couple of natural minor marks on the paint.

Joe Pries: Thanks for the offer, but I personally am currently looking for a wideangle lens. If I had the money, I'd buy your lens, but...fill in what you think is correct...  Big thumbs up

Sorry, if it had a good old minolta mount I'd be interested. Too bad you chose the wrong manufacturer..  Big grin

Staffan,
you can always disable the computer contacts on the lens and just use duct tape to stick it to your minolta and rig it to work- what do you say?

Tried that once, the display on the camera started flashing something like "no comprendo cheap ass equipment".
I'd never do that to my equipment again... still feel bad about it.

Will your new IS lens also have horizon straightening stabilizers in it too? That's what you really need.  Big grin

Joe, if you want to get good, reallllllllllly good, go shoot about 80,000 slides and then report back to the group.

Good luck.

100 USD for a Canon lens, that is way too much Gary.
I was thinking more or less about 10 US$ and Joe is paying for shipping as well.

Any potential buyers should be fully aware that this lens has been programmed and trained to shoot with crooked horizons.

It will take about 20 rolls of KR shooting, or 720 digital shots, to reprogram it to be level with the horizon. This should knock at least $100 US off of the price when you make him an offer. Oh, and did Crooked Eye tell you about the time he accidentally dropped it in a urinal at MIA while on an urgent relief mission?  Big grin That's why it isn't pure Canon white anymore.........

Hey Don you know what, screw selling it, i'll hold on to the lens for now, so i can come down next month and spank your S2 with it and then ill continue to hold it and spank vasco and his billion dollar super lens- and i'll slap a 2x converter on mine with full confidence. Talk is cheap, bring it to the frontlines and lets roll

Joe,

did I tell you that I loved to be spanked ...........(only by you though)  Big grin

(just kidding)

So why the rapid change all of a sudden.......a day ago, you wanted to get rid of that lens so badly. Maybe it is true what Don said.......

You are the one who is talking, not us!
I'd love to come by to sunny FL but can't make it, sorry!
