Need Help With Photoshop 7

Sat Feb 08, 2003 3:00 am

Hi everyone,

I really need some help with the processing in Photoshop. How can I improve the quality of my pictures? I'm using Canon EOS 300 SLR camera with Tamron 75-300 mm lens and Kodak Royal 100 or Fuji Reala 100 print film. I scanning with Canon N1240 at 2400 dpi and then resizing to 1024 pixel... using sharpen and unsharp mask, but I think somehow wrong???

Here are some samples which are rejected by a.net.

Thanks for all your help in advance guys...

Greetings

Hi 737heavy,

I'm using Scan Gear CS-U, and then Photoshop. Scan Gear was delivered with the the Canon N1240U flatbed scanner.

I'm not familiar with that. I think a few of the guys here use Vuescan. I tried it myself and it's good but takes some driving. You can download it and try it for free, if you don't mind having messages on your images but it will give you an idea of what is possible.

I'd have a look at Vuescan. I used to have a Canon film scanner and the scan software sucked. Do any scanner makers knock out good software for them?

Not minolta anyway. Since getting vuescan, that's the only software I've used for scanning, it's great!
