Interesting... Might get over some people's concerns about the reliability of the large capacity storage devices with disk drives in them.

I like the idea...only a matter of time they come out with one that offers perhaps simple RW capabilities?

No hints on prices lately? (Though I was rather amazed to see a 3GB CF Card on that site. It's like see a D30 and 1GB Microdrive, blink, and now 3GB CF Cards and an EOS-10D)

I use an old and proven device for storing images in the field.
It's called Fuji Provia 100F  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

3GB CF cards  Wow!  Wow!  Wow!

All I have is one measly 128MB Smart Media Card!!!!  Wow!

I'm getting two more soon, but geez! 3GB!! Thats bigger then my dads computer's hard drive!!

Looks a bit expensive...

I just bought myself an X-Drive 2 USB2.0 20GB so it will last me for some time. A good price of $205 for the whole package off of ebay.

Yeah, when we get back from 'the field' we download our images for free, you gotta pay and wait for yours

AND depending on how fast the queue moves, we can have the photo up within 24 hours of having taken it Big grin
