Sigma EX 4,0/100-300 EX If (MINOLTA)

Wed Mar 26, 2003 8:10 pm

Hi,

I think about this lens for my Minolta Dynax 7/Maxxum 7. Has anyone experience with this combination or this lens?

Thanks,

Thomas

I have one and it works fine. Mine is Canon fit hence also HSM - works a treat  Big thumbs up

Despite the 'L' glass comments this thread will no doubt attract I'd have no problem recommending this lens...

Doh!!!
You have a Minolta - 'L' glass isn't an option for you.

I'd say go for this Sigma - it really is a nice lens!

Cheers,
Dean

No, L glass is still an option ... just dump that Minolta and get a Canon  Smile

Seriously, the better class of Sigma glass is indeed very good. I'm thinking about getting their 14mm.

Cheers,

Sigma just came out with a 100-300 f/2.8 lens, I would check that one out.

Thank's for your replies.

Clickhappy, that new one is a 120-300mm/F2,8 for about 2.800 EURO. The 100-300mm /F4 costs about 850 EURO. As Dean's pics show, the 100-300 is a good option for me. I only hope, that the Minolta-Version without HSM is of the same quality.

Thank's again,

Thomas

I know the cost is more, but you really do see the results with a faster lens. I have seen the lens for sale in the states for $1900US, which is I think about 2000 EURO?
