Im looking for some help for the following trip. If any of you A.Net people could help me out with some info in these ever changing time's it will be of great help. Can anyone please confirm the follwing.
1) What is US customs/security stance on Binoculars & aircraft books - number lists etc etc in hand baggage. I was going to take my plane number gear + binoculars in my hand luggage but am worried if they search my bag there going to think terrorist !!!!! Can anyone give me any feedback.
2) What the situation at the moment with regard spotting AIRSIDE at the following airports. BOS
. I was hoping to get as many numbers + a few pictures while waiting for flight etc etc. What the situation with regards binoculars and taking reg numbers ??? Will i get jumped the moment i start viewing the planes !!!!
3) While on Holiday i was going to visit FLL
. Can anyone confirm if spotting from the Hybiscus car park is still allowed. I understand that the view park has been closed but are there any other points on FLL
where you can park up and watch aircraft takeoff/land ???
4) I understand that spotting is not allowed at MCO
. I was hoping to chance my luck and try to spend the day on the terminal top parking. Will i get hassle or if i keep a low profile will i be ok. I was thinking if i am told to push off is there anywhere alse i can spot from. Please note i will not have a car and will have to rely on cabs !!!!
I had asked all this before prior to Iraq and had been told that spotting at all the airport would be no problem. Im pretty sure thats not going to be the case now after reading some of the threads.
Many thanks in advance.
Simon (fingers crossed for some good news)
