I wish I had some to share ... but I don't. Crap prints from the processors are what got me started down this digital route some years ago.
One day I was comparing what was on the print (big white sapce where the sky ought to be) with what was on the negative (lots of cloud detail). The previous week a work colleague had been rambling on about film scanners, so putting 2 & 2 together I came up with £400 (or there abouts) and went out and bought the just released HP
Photosmart and an Epson Stylus 600.
As I've never thrown a negative away in my life (or for that matter, little else
), I never needed to go back to my prints - in fact I recently gave away all my old aircraft prints to a young lad.
Now of course no negatives or slides either ... I sometimes miss having a tangible record of my work, but these days it is only a very few select shots that ever take material form!
