Ebace 2003 In Less Than A Week: Anybody Coming?

Wed Apr 30, 2003 5:31 am

With the Ebace 2003 taking place in Geneva which takes place on May 7,8,9 2003 does anybody plan to come? I will be going on the Thursday 8 all afternoon and possibly on Friday the 9th in the middle of the afternoon.

Ebace for those who don't know is the Annual Business Aviation Event with about 40 planes on static display.

Was wondering who will be coming? I could eventually come out and meet anyone who comes though only in the afternoon in any case.

I'm planning to be there at Friday too.

Don't know about a meeting yet, I'll probably have a busy day at the fair...

Hi Tim

I should still be there at that time. But I don't have a fixed schedule yet. Anyway, I'll go there by train, so I will be quite flexible.

Ebace was excellent, about 30 planes on display. Went on every single one of them Big grin I read that Boeing was launching the 717-200 BBJ well couldn't find it. Pictures will be coming up soon just be patient.

I went to the equivlant at KBFI about two weeks ago but there wasnt near the number of aircraft as what is in the photo Tim has posted a link to

The Legacy that is sitting in the front was at KBFI as well(tail# PT-SAC)

Here is the image of the cockpit of that same jet.

Just an update about my Ebace-Visit. Had a great day there. It was nice to meet so many people again this year, especially at Boeing and Bombardier.

By the way, I had a nice meeting with the Sales Director for the 717EJ and I got quite a few interesting facts. Will update you tomorrow.

By the way, was anyone allowed to take pictures in the "green" Gulfstream 550, which was flown in fresh from the production line?

Michael,
I got pictures inside of the green Gulfstream 550 the guy said that just because it was me I could take pictures Big grin Cabin is most impressive, just as the cockpit will upload some shots later on. I basically went onto every single plane. Some were particularly great (Boeing, Airbus and a Austrian airline flying MD-83 Business Jets). The only guys who kind of weren't too nice were Embraer who did mind my presence.

I didn't have any problems on the G550 too. As soon as the guy saw my press badge, there wasn't a problem at all and I took some interesting pictures in there. I also got a detailed instruction lesson about the cockpit.  Big grin I will do a short article about the green plane and the 717 tomorrow.

A first (very small) batch of pictures is in my magazine.
