i will tell you now a story, which I think is unbelievable and shows how customers are treated in our days.
I had some dirt on my CCD of my Nikon D100, I went to the Photoshop just a round the corner, they tried to clean it, but have been unable to fix it, and that they would recommend to send it to Nikon Suisse to fix it. It would take a weeke or so, till i get it back.
I decided to go to Nikon Suisse on my own, so it wouldnt take such a long time, cause i wanted to go to the airport for photographing on thursday. On tuesday I took half day off, because Nikon Suisse is only open till 17:00 in the evning , and I usually work till 18:00 or so. So I went to the trainstation and took a ride to Zürich/Egg, which take some 35 mins. their HQ
in Egg is pretty new, moved there only three weeks ago or so ... , its a modern built industrial looking hall: they must have spent a lot of money on it ...... , anyway , I walked in, and was send to the repair-desk.
a mid30 guy came up to me, and asked how he could help me, I mentioned the dirtspots on my pictures, and that there must be a problem with my CCD , cause they occur allways at the same place , doesnt matter which lense I use. Also i metioned some dust spots on my mirror, which i said arent that bad, cause u actually cant see them on pictures.
They guy acted pretty cool, and seemed not intrested in what i was trying to explain him, he took the camera and said it will take some 30mins, and then everything will be brand new !
i went outside and took a smoke, 20m mins later the guy came out , gave me my camera back and said something like: here is ur camera, everything is okay again. i asked , if he wants to have some money for it, and he aexplained, that they are the HQ
, and they usually do it for free.
I thougt "cool", went back to the station , took the train back to zuerich, overall this trip "cost" me some 90 mins and half a day off from work.
Back home, I packed my photobag, and was checkin everything, it was then , that i realized, that NOTHING HAD CHANGED: SAME DIRT SPOTS ON

THE PICTURES !!! i couldnt believe it, it looked like the guy took my camera and just put it aside for 20mins, and gave it back to me. i was so fucked up, you wouldnt believe me. everything for nothing : half day off, 90mins for goin to Egg , just everything! what the heck are they doing at the HQ

Wednesday morning I called NIKON from work, i was transferred to the repairservice, i explained a guy my problem and what has happened to me, and that i am totally pissed off. the guy told me that he thinks i am wrong , and he couldnt believe , what i was telling him, and that i should just check my D100 again , when home, instead of arguing and beeing rude to him. I flipped out on the phone, and asked for his boss. the boss was helpful , and said that he was very sorry for what had happened to me, he came up with the following solution:
i should send him my camera via veloexpress, and they are goin to fix it right away, so that i get it back lately on friday, which is today. and nikon will pay the 2way veloexpress, which is around 150sfr. today i got them camera back.
the dustspots in the searcher are still there! and if the CCD dirtspots are still there cant check right now, cause i have no lenses with me ... , you guys will read the following in tuesdays newspaper:

i have the feeling they didnt fix the CCD prob again .....
