For frequencies do this:

Go to the Irish Aviation Bulletin Board and do a search there, this question was covered some weeks ago there.

There are some sites walkable from DUB, with views of the usual active rwy. There are two / three good viewing sites, unfortunately in differing directions and there is no convenient bus running around the perimiter. Some City bound buses will take you closer to one of them.

Stay alert as you land, depart, as some locations such as the Irish Helicopters base, are easier seen on landing (usually on left side in prevailing winds), or on taxi, than from any easily accessible public spot due to hedges and fences.

Likewise a left hand seat on departure usually gives a view of aircraft outside FLS Maintenance on climbout.

UTA:
This is the link to the Irish Aviation Bulletin Board:

http://www.irishaviation.net/forums/ubb/Forum4/HTML/000226.html

Haven't been there for a while but its not too far to walk to the reasonable spot on the south side - a 20 minute walk?

About 4 years ago I caught a bus from Dublin city to the west side of the airfield - there were very few on this route each day and I wonder if that bus still runs. It was on this day I saw my first Aer Lingus A321 - it had just been delivered the day before.

I'm told that if you stay till early evening you may see some cargo planes fly - does anyone know this is true??

Spotting at Dublin can get abit tricky depending on what sort of shot you want .. If they are using runway 28 arrivals then you have only half the walk if you want approach shots,

The above shot was taken about 10mins walk away from the terminal.
If you carry on from this spot, follow the perimeter fence right the way down until you are level with the aircraft turning onto runway 28 for departure,

This spot is about 20mins from the terminal. If you can find this spot, there is a grass verge on the oposite side of the road to the perimeter fence, there is an exact spot there with a rock sticking out of the ground .. this is great to stand on and get shots like so,

You could run into problems if they are using runway 10, this is extending your walk by about 15mins, roughly 45mins walk from the terminal and the hill in which you take pics from isn't really high enough to clear any obstacles in view,

Hope this gives you a guideline, if you need anymore info please feel free to contact me anytime, im more than happy to help you out.
Best of luck

I'm told that if you stay till early evening you may see some cargo planes fly - does anyone know this is true??

This very evening (8th), the OSRL Hercules departed at about 18:30 (after staying all day), two ChanEx A300s departed line astern at 20:45 (one of the two day-stopped, the other arrived around 19:30), followed quickly by a Emerald 748 and a DHL A300 (both day stoppers). The only cargo airplane left by 21:00 was a Streamline Shed.

Just came back from DUB, I had the opportunity of finding all of the sites mentioned by AGFF (thxx a lot !), and my feet are sore from walking so much.
Bus 16A runs to the aforementioned spots, and it stops on O'Connell Street  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
I saw DL's MD-11 and AC's 767, but no SQ 's.
The only pic I got uploaded so far is...from the terminal  Laugh out loud :

Anyway I'll get more opportunities  Smile/happy/getting dizzy as I'm moving from CMF to DUB next week ! Yay ! (I still have roughly 100+ pics of CMF in my archives so 707 beware)

Those are from the inside, they don't count because you can't see the green grass, the sheep, the leprechauns and shamrocks, the pink lemonade, pints of stout, rain or any other Irish icons  Laugh out loud

Shaun,
next time you're in DUB I'll be happy to chauffeur you around as my g/f and myself are moving to Ireland next week ! (without the rabbit unfortunately  Sad as they don't mix well with sheep according to the EI legislation).
Hope there are a lot of a.net spotters at DUB  Laugh out loud

Would be nice to catch up in DUB  Smile

P.S, how did you find this spot?

I took bus #16A from An Lar (City Centre in Gaelic, heheheh) and stopped at the bus stop (duh!) near the threshold after the Aer LIngus/Aer Rianta Clubhouse. From there I recognised the surroundings from your pics and I walked alongside the fence unil I got tired of it and stopped in front of the small parking lot on the other side of the road. Didn't find the rock though, but from next week onwards I'll be at DUB wit my car, hoping to do at DUB what I did for CMF  Laugh out loud

Hi William .... did you go up any of the embankment on the oposite side of the road to the perimeter fence?
That's where the rock is, up one of the embankments ... if you use my FR 738 pic above as a guideline with regards the background then you should find the rock. Also, this rock is right by a layby with a burger van in .... ring any bells?

I was near a dark brown (or black ?) burger or whatever van in a parking lot near an emergency access gate, this is the location I shot from :
