Best Consumer Digital For Low-light

Sun Jun 29, 2003 11:33 am

What is the best <$1000 digital camera for low-light capability? I have an Olympus C720, but I'm having a very frustrating time trying to get pictures at night of anything.

Thanks in advance

My Canon A70 is quite good - the manual controls make night photography quite easy. Here's a sample: http://www.geocities.com/hkg_clk/IMG_0826s.jpg

Thanks for the replies. Is there a night shot mode for the F717?

My pro90 takes very good night pictures if its in the proper mode, but you'd probably be better off with a Sony F707/717, they have a night mode especially for shooting pictures in the dark.

Search for Europix and i'm sure you'll find loads..
