Photos With Minolta Dimage 7Hi

Mon Jun 30, 2003 8:46 pm

Hi there,

thinking about buying this Digicam and just want to know if it's good enough for spotting (lense, zoom, speed, fps etc.). If you have seen photos here at A.net please show me the link or add them to your reply.

Thanks for your help, guys.

Cheers, Thomas

Thomas,

all of my pictures (on this site - I upload elsewhere as well) from Popham, Compton Abbas and Goodwood were taken with the D7 - the previous version to the DH7I.

Have a look at them and see what you think - I have printed off some from Compton to A4 size and I am very pleased with the results.

Hi Paul,

did you shoot the Dusseldorf pics with the Dimage 7,too? Excellent shots. For me it's important to catch airliners in the range of 50 until 200mm. For that range I'd like to use the 7Hi and need some information about the quality of the lens.

Thanks,

Thomas

I own the 7i which is very similar to the 7Hi. Every single one of my pictures except the Chinook shot was taken with this camera. I have taken planes landing at full speed and static ones all with really good results. I am at about a 90 % acceptance rate on airliners all I have to do is a little sharpening using USM.
Feel free to look at all my pictures or email me with other questions.

Thomas,

yes - all the pictures from Dusseldorf were taken with the D7 -in fact almost all my pictures for the last year that have been accepted here were shot with it. It has certainly improved the number I have on the site (over 1200 now)
