"detained On The 4th"- The Resolution

Sat Jul 26, 2003 9:16 am

Well, nn saturday, the wonderful  Insane folks in Suffolk police dept. decided to return my roll of film, Phil's video and other random personal effects.

For the record, they developed my film into 8x10's (!) but used some cruddy AGFA lab to process them.

I asked them further as to what was done wrong.

All these detectives could say was that we didn;t do anything wrong. YUet they could not give a straight answer as to WHY 10 cops, and 3 hours were wasted on us.

At least I have Graham and Sunil to thank as I take the next step:

a letter to the paper(let the taxpapers know how the $$ was wasted)
a letter to locoal politicians
a letter to the police dept.

I will not have my freedom F$%ked with again.

I will be leaving flaming paper bags of shit on the doorsteps of all officers involved, word up. lol

No, but this is something that I would lke to pass on to politicians. Not becuase I'm angry, but because I think it is a waste of my tax dolars and that there is so many grey areas in the law these days that need to be addressed, so no one's freedoms get infringed upon like Mirrodie and I dealt with that day.

Careful about causing too much of a stink. The backlash might well be something like, "Let's not waste manpower on this. Just surround the airport with 4-meter fence with a liner impossible to photograph through. The spotters won't come anymore and we no longer have to waste time on them."

I agree with charles, but do go ahead and write about it to your local paper. Spread the word of how you're being treated.

on behalf of every photographer who has been hassled (me too) good luck!!!

I'd rather not be able to photograph through a big fence than be detained for 3 hours for TRYING.
