Need Help Identifying This Plane.. And Other Stuff

Mon Jul 28, 2003 4:15 pm

Caught this one flying directly above ATL in the late afternoon... any ideas? just curious.

Anyone who has read many of my cry for help threads know that I tend to get a lot of rejections. Out of these... which do you think may actually have a chance of getting uploaded? http://www.justflyaway.com/airnetupload/

Yeah, and one more question...
I have dust spots on the sensor of my D100. A lot of dust spots, it's crazy. I took it to Camera Repair Japan in Atlanta and they said they couldn't work on it, that it'd have to be sent off to Nikon and they would charge the standard $189 service/repair fee or something like that. I have had the camera for 6 months and the sensor is filthy... surely people can't afford to pay almost $200 everytime this damn sensor gets dirty? I've asked a few professionals if I could just buy a tool and clean it myself, but everyone says that the risk of screwing up that sensor is too great.
I'm obviously going to have to have the camera sent off and this time the warranty should cover it. What about later though? What would you all suggest?
Does anyone know how long the camera will be gone once I send it off to be repaired? I'm supposed to go to the Bahamas on a Learjet for Labor Day and I really don't want to be without my camera then.

Thanks,
Hank  Big thumbs up

I just got off the phone with Nikon. They woman told me that warranty does not cover CCD cleaning but that it will only cost $25. Not as bad.. great. The down side is that I will be without my camera for 2 weeks.  Sad

Do you guys think that any of those shots will be accepted?

Tobi, I'm sorry... I wasn't talking about the two pictures in my post. There is a link to some of my other pictures that I would like for you to look at. Sorry for the misunderstanding. http://www.justflyaway.com/airnetupload

Southwest 737-7H4. old colors.

What direction was it going? Also, what time? Flt 1191 is a -700 from BWI-BHM and would pass Atlanta around 6pm if it were on that airway. I was on that flight but were on a different airway.

I was on a Southwest plane and can tell you that the routing from Birmingham to Baltimore can go DIRECTLY over Atlanta. I was on it, and I saw Atlanta. My flt however was 9:30am.

Bruce, I think it was heading North East. I stayed at the airport for several hours that day and really dont remember, but I took several pictures of it... and by the looks of the light, it was heading North East. It was taken at 6:41pm.

This was the actual image that I took..
