How Was This Take-off Shot Made?

Thu Aug 21, 2003 10:00 pm

I don't know if this was discussed before (I guess so), but I didn't find anything in the archive:

How is it possible to take such a picture:

There is a thread running in Civil Aviation right now about this.

It is taken with a wide angle lens, remote triggered on the runway.

The thread was deleted (don't really understand why), but thanks for the information.

Do you know if this image was used comercially?

And how can you legally place a camera on an active runway?

If you click on the photographers name and look at his other photos (only 2 photos) you will see that they are some sort of promotional material for Eurowings. Probably had permission because of that.

Yes this image was used commercially!
On the cover of "Airport 2000 Volume". An upgrade for FS 98 and 2000.
The front must be added but I think it's the same picture.

That's really poor: They added a "757/767 wannabe cockpit" to the Airbus fuselage.

Thanks for the info.
