I Always Get Baddistance

Fri Aug 22, 2003 7:11 am

I am sure you folks will tell me that, yes, these pcis aRE baddistance, but my eye for this kind of thign is something I like.

I've had three pictures rejected lately for baddistance, and I think that the overview of these hosts are the POINT of the picture.

I think these LGA shots are of good quality, and give a nice overview of activity on runway 31/13.

Or should I change the category to "airport overview" or something?

And most recently:

As for the JetBlue, the zoom was at max capability, and it grabbed 747s with no problem, for obvious size reasons, but it's the same pictures as others that have been accepted here, but just with a smaller plane. I had to fit the boat in as well because that's part of the point of the picture, especially after the civilians got arrested for getting their boat on shore.

I thought that JetBlue one was a definite. It was one of the most popular pics of the day on "another" site. HMPH!

Any input would be helpful.

Regards

Allthough I really like the style of shots (it would be what I would produce there) I must agree as you say with the screeners. If you'd had some hairy crossing runway action on there, it'd be different. The Jblue just needs more zoom.

Did you get your own cam?

The Jetblue one was rejected today, I JUST appealed the ATa shot, and the MD80 was a few weeks ago, along with the ATA, but I can't seem to find that one either, so I made a slight adjustment to it and reuploaded just now.

Also, let it be known that I have two email addresses from which i've uploaded:

bigphilnyc@yahoo.com

and

pdernerjr@hotmail.com

I'll keep looking though and get back to you.

Bigphilnyc:

You know I was only messing with you  Wink/being sarcastic.... Phil is the man, and personally I liked the JetBlue shot, and actually told him a.net would probably upload it... Now he needs to get a cam, so that when I come back I can take pictures with it!

I just think if the quality is good and the scenery is nice, then it should be accepted.

I can show a million examples of TINY planes and nice scenery that have been accepted. All I ask for is consistency.
