Two Images That Express Concorde's Final Moments.

Thu Sep 04, 2003 11:48 am

Never before have I found such meaning in photographs...

I thank Mr. Brett, as this will be a lasting memory of Concorde's final days lifting off of American soil.

What a simple and poignant statement you made Mirrodie! Thank you...I greatly appreciate it...

Art Brett did a FANTASTIC job on that first shot of Concorde taking off! What a gorgeous angle....she just looks like she's heading off somewhere important! Handing off the torch from the old to the new. Honsetly, my two favorite airplanes in one shot! And I'm just amazed that I was able to shoot the second shot at all (it was a simple case of pure luck!)

It's a little ironic you picked these two images actually. One, they are both G-BOAD; second, I was in the Cocnorde in Art Brett's picture, sitting in Seat 21A; and third, I took the second picture two days later!

What a beautiful airplane she is! She will be forver missed...

Thanks again Mirrodie!
