Will This Kind Of Shot Be Accepted?

Fri Sep 12, 2003 2:15 pm

Hi All

Looking through many of my backlog of image to process and upload, come through this one, just a low quality one to show here (just one sample of few I took)

http://samchuiphotos.com/Concorde/CON24.jpg

I know it may be a cheap hit shot, but I thought this feature inside the cabin is Unique to the soon to be history Concorde, I enjoyed my ride on her and hope to share it with the audience here. I have never been that high or that fast than that.

Screener, what do you say? This is a damn interesting inflight operation SSC photo, not a outside shot which already have tons in the Database anyway.

Hmmmm... myself I would probably Badmotiv it because your not showing enough of the cabin maybe (maybe a full cabin type shot). But then again it is the SSC and no other pax plane does MACH2 @ 50,000feet!

That's why I ask to avoid (another) rejection. Anyway I think it is a great memory that I treasure it now and no one can take that away  Big grin
I will upload 1 cabin and 1 cockpit shot of SSC if you don't mind.

Why shouldn't that pic be accepted, if this one made it??  Wow!

I don't want to knock down the photographer, but this is a slap in the face of any photog here in my opinion. It's unlevel, it has a weird border (how many pics were rejected for the 1 pixel border in the past?) and grainy.

I love it! Personally, what I feel is a problem on this site is that there are not enough "real" shots that show what it is actually like to fly in a particular aircraft. There are people who may be thinking, "hmm, I wonder if people can tell how fast they're going on the Concorde?" But they wouldn't know what it actually looks like without a photo like this. I don't need some glamorous photo with the perfect light, perfect speed, and perfect angle to be amazed by an image. So I really like the photo and I hope it gets accepted.
My posts/replies are strictly my opinion and not that of any company, organization, or Southwest Airlines.

Hmmm Gerardo has a good point.

The "motivation" in Sam's shot is to show one of the unique features of flying on the Concorde. I could be wrong, but I do believe in the rejection for badmotiv (and I've had plenty  Big grin) it says something like "a motivation for a close up would be a special sticker, paint, dirt..." In this case wouldn't it qualify?
