Online Photo Albums

Mon Sep 15, 2003 9:49 pm

Any advice on good online photo albums to upload photos to? I have some on Yahoo but always have difficulty linking to them. Anybody use pbase or webshots or whatever?

...or they don't know... or they haven't read the message yet?  Wink/being sarcastic

Don't you have any webspace with your ISP Derek?

I use my own webspace that I get from my ISP - no annoying adverts. I use a rather simple code for my page so it is easy to add and remove photos.

It doesn't look my ISP does that sort of service unless I designed my own web page which I might do later but not at the moment.

I use Pbase and I am very happy with the site. Yearly it costs $23 USD for 100MB of space. You can customize the look of your galleries, and hotlink images to forums like this one, ebay or whatever. No adverts.

A short while ago the site was down for a few days, but other than that it has been extremely reliable and stable. I believe a few other photographers here use it also.

Check it out at http://www.pbase.com

Hope this helps,
Graham.

Derek,

Get hold of a program called JAlbum and it will make the web sites for you.
http://www.datadosen.se/jalbum/

Just pick the image directory, run Jalbum, select a couple of settings and it spits out an entire web photogallery. Stick this in a folder off your homepage and then access the gallery by typing http://yourwebspaceURL/foldername

Easy!

Take a look at my motorsport site [address in profile] - all the galleries are generated using JAlbum
