Was at JFK 3 days in a row seeing her to takeoff. Here's some of my experience
Today wind at 040, 15 knots gusty up 18 knots, Concorde assigned 22R takeoff! About rolling 1500-2000ft down the Rwy, it aborted takeoff, went back to taxiway to hold, later after 20 mins, it made its move to 13R into position on hold for 40 mins. All traffic were using 4s for landing and takeoff as the wind is fairly strong from the East. She finally airborne at 1006local time, 1 hr and 6 min late, she sat about 55 mins holding around, not to takeoff, I don't know how is the fuel loading doing because of that. I just checked on BA.com see the arrival time of BA002, it showed the flight went to Cardiff today??? Confirm??
Also recently experienced by A.NET photog Jean, Concorde leaving JFK couldn't be more weird,
12/9 Using 4L takeoff (strong wind)
14/9 22R , aborted, 3 hours later at 1200, tookoff 13R
15/9 31L this is okay
16/9 22R wind 040 10 knots
17/9 22R, aborted, 1 hour later at 1006, tookoff 13R
Anyone following this movements?
Photo from Bayswater Park was very nice, as Concorde do a sharp turn after A/B from Rwy 13R, I felt at one stage I can touch her! Photos to follow next week
