There Goes The Neighborhood.

Does the inclusion of all the fighter jets amongst all the commercial aircraft pictures bother anyone else? Don't get me wrong. These are great shots and there isn't an anti-military bone in my body, but give me the pure sweet clean commercial jets alone.

Well, once airfighters.net separates from airliners.net (presumably once the number of pics exceeds 50,000 or some decent figure) you won't be bothered by those pics. Besides, in the Search page you can specify "civil only".

While I find most military planes ugly, and am absolutely anti-military, I have to admit that their inclusion has added the odd nice photo or two to airliners.net. Not many, but a few...

Why would the inclusion of ANY airplane bother you? If you don't like the picture don't open it, just move on.

I love to shoot photos of airplanes, be they airliners, classic props, military aircraft, blimps, etc...Anet provides me the opportunity to display those photos. Some people like to look at the airliners, some like the blimps, some like them all. It does not bother me if someone does not look twice at one of the photos, it is their choice and taste. So why should the inclusion of those photos bother anyone????

Cheers,

Tony

If they are going to include fighter aircraft in the database, they need to get rid of the title that says "stealth fighters are for wimps."

once airfighters.net separates from airliners.net

This would be a big mistake in my opinion ... it is a totally arbitrary categoristation - it would be just as valid to have a prop.net & jet.net or a ga.net and commercial.net ... you can slice and dice it dozens of ways.

IMHO, its about right just now ... all aircraft together, but with filters for those who want to restrict their viewing.

As far as I'm concerned, a plane is a plane, they all have their own unique appeal

Cheers,

There are many stunning shots of military aircraft here.
Especially air-to-air and carrier landing ones and they add to the quality of the database.
When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward...
