Stolen Images On Myaviation.net Already.

I think the evidence is rather compelling, I'll be contacting 'SAM' very shortly but I thougt I would give everyone a heads up about it. In an attempt to mislead people he is only stealing from other sites and not A.net and is also changing the dates and reg numbers to confuse the rightful copyright holders. Of course I have no evidence that his other pictures are stolen but they probably are.

Matt,
thanks for pointing this out, the SOB took some of my pictures:

http://www.myaviation.net/search/photo_search.php?id=00000542

Paradoxally that was one of my first uploads onto pp.net. I think Myaviation should have some sort of screening to avoid this type of usage...

Interesting to find one of my Airliners.net photos there... photoshopped and manipulated!

That site needs looking at quickly. What a load of rubbish. They should have known something like this would have happened now there is no screening process.

What kind of idiot do you have to be to steal somebody's pictures and put them online under your name?

Silly silly silly...

Yup. A site with no screening will only cause Johan more stress symptoms than he had before he left on a break. Its a free-for-all, anything goes. I am starting to think the new site is a bad idea.

Can you imagine if there was a forum with no moderators and no rules??????

Same here. I hate to say it, but this concept will never work, unfortunately.  Sad

The new site is actually a good idea which needs some improvements. Like for example

Maybe it could become a training camp for the future a.net screeners.

Rejected shots from a.net should go to the myaviation.net screeners accepted shots at a.net should be automatically accepted at myaviation. Its unbelieveable which crap shows up since the combination was introduced.

Not on your life... There's no way I want any of my pictures anywhere near a site that's full of the sort of crap that's already appearing on myaviation.

Man these guys need a LIFE!!

What is the point of taking some1's pictures and by changing it in PS or just alter the info and make it as their own shots?!?!

What good does this for them?! So that they can show ppl they can shoot!?! Its not even theirs!!!

These people are plain LAME.  Angry

On another note, i think myaviation needs a screener to stop these problems..  Wink/being sarcastic

Well can't say I'm surprised considering all the stolen shots which have appeared in other online albums.

I guess the same rules apply - make the moderator of the site aware of any copyright infringements, which must then be immediately removed.

I also think that suspension from A.net of the offender would not be unreasonable.

Cheers,

Photos are screened at download from Airliners.net. Legal photos that are aviation related are not deleted.

There are a lot of things going on behind the scenes, and there are other methods of content control than deleting the actual images. We are currently working on a solid concept and administrative tools for this.
