Yup almost 100% sure,

By the way, if it helps, if you can't really tell crop your own picture down to the same size, makes it easier  Smile/happy/getting dizzy.

Cheers,

Dan.

It does look the same Peter, but how could they steal a photo from the reject queue?.
Is it on any other photo databases?
Also, you shot it yesterday. That is fast theft!

The subject is the same but could it be that other photographers made the same shot from the position as you? it seems from outside the airport perimeter.

No... Yours was taken in sunshine, the other has far less distinct shaddows - just a general darkening that occurs when an airplane is taken in under clouds. Someone stood in the same place as you.

Good eye Andy, looks like the other picture is darker for sure, especially in the under wing areas and the landing gear...

Hmmm. True about the brighness, but when i crop mine like it looks exactly the same so the photographer must have been standing at the EXACT same spot. Just count the windows and see the position of the logos.
Heres my version croopped.

No I do not think it was stolen. If you compare the nose in relation to the engine of the plane behind it, you will see it is a different relation from your photo. The photos were taken from different perspectives.

Hi Peter

NO! look at that small horizontal shadow underneath the engine in your photo, it's not there in the ORF one ... or they edited it .
However, that's a oublic position there and I think there are many press photographers that also made photos that day on the very same location.

Important:

Links from the discussion forum will be followed by search-robots like google.
As Google is VERY good at finding the exactly correct information it is not unlikely that it was found that way by them (orf). Also google caches images, and it could have been taken from Google even without anyone entering our site.

If it was only hours between the photo was probably in the rejection page at the time when a robot (google or other) was searching our site. Normally there are some days in between updates at search-engines.

Don't link to places you shouldn't.

Peter, I'm convinced it's your shot. Every point I put on the news shot matched in reference to yours. In regard to the comment about the shadows, each photo in that strip has been faded dark near the bottom, including peter's, which is why it looks shadowed.

How could rejected photo be stolen? I assume only you and screener knew about its existance. Unless you ulpaded it somwhere else too?

Not your shot. Probably taken same place same day, though.

But the titles on the 'top' aircraft are cut, while they are not on your shot.

Peter, did you take the shot from the car parking?
I think you did, and its a quite popular place in Vienna.

I remember when, back in February this year, I was in Vienna. There was a parked 767, I took a shot of it, from the car parking of course. Before uploading I checked in the db its exact version, and I found a few shots of the same a/c from the same spot and even the angle.

So it could be yours, as well as someone elses.
How much A is there is Airliners Net ? 0 or nothing ?

IMHO that is your shot.Just take a look on the A320´S nose and the small bright grey patch on the engine`s nacelle.Exact the same position.
Brightness and contrast are changabel in PS.

What should one do when he/she finds a "stolen" pic WITHIN airliners.net?

However, before it is removed, I would like to take legal action against the person first... (not the photos mentioned in this thread)
