Getting Tired Of "bad Motiv"

Tue Dec 02, 2003 4:24 pm

Had another one............

So from now on, only 50mm side on ramp shots with no clutter!

Vasco,

Personally, I love these kinds of shots. But Johan has made it known that he does not, and we have to apply his rules.

Vasco, I too love these kind of shots. Send your great shots to some of the other smaller
plane picture sites. Keep up your good work!

Wow Personally I love that shot! I really don't understand how that is bad motiv. Its a nice aspect ratio of engine to human.
oh well.

Shame that... lovely shot Vasco!

Yup, like Gary and others have said, there are alternatives that would accept that shot!

Cheers!

Wonderful shot. Definitely tells something. Did the rules change? Or what exact rule does deny the acceptance of this picture? I ask, because there are several pics showing open engines.

No bashing of other photographers work and I do not want to stirr up trouble. Not my intention at all, but wouldn't it be nice if the same standards and views are applied for let's say most of the shots......

I love all those shots, but based on terms and conditions of airliners.net they are not welcome on this site.....

Please, don't turn this thread into a bashing session or similar....I just want to get an explanation.

On another note....even though it is Johan's site and he set the rules....the website lives and dies by the people visiting....

Shouldn't those opinions be considered as well?

One word MARKETING.

A simple rule, if you don't listen to your customers, they will go elsewhere and do business there.

What I have learned over the years in my professional life is that employees sometimes have pretty good ideas how to improve certain things to make a business more profitable. Convincing the owner is always tough to do, but heck if it works and you have the right point, why not accept it and change it?

Vasco,
E-mail me directly: exit_row@hotmail.com

For some reason, I can't "reply" to the e-mail you sent through A.net's web mail. Maybe it's because you're "Second Class."

I'm having a similar situation right now with interior details (like seats, lower deck etc. on the 346) and also some airport architecture shot. But I've learned to accept it and move on. Even though I think it's not right...
