Yes, This Question Again.......

Tue Jan 06, 2004 10:52 am

Since I have been away from uploading to a.net for the last year (under 10 uploaded-none accepted :-( ) I have a question on how long does it take......How long does it take to get a photo judged for a thumbs up or thumbs down. I uploaded one photo Dec 28th and it says it has been given to Johan for final approval due to being a borderline case....
Thanks

Ohhh.. good luck with your pic.

It depends on the quality... Usually try each pic 3 or 4 times since diffrent people may see it.

Why the mystery surrounding this pic I wonder? it was a 737 taking off from Bos at a beautiful sunset...sharp and not grainy......I have to admit I am getting frustrated

Mark,
It is the same as before, probably more photos in the queue, and maybe more being passed to Johan.

Looking forward to seeing it.

Borderline and appeals will have to wait a while... I've appealed about 2 weeks ago, and the number of pictures is still growing... (I'm #3 in the appeals queue with about 31 or 32 in there as of today)...

I think it's going to take some time...

Yeah, Johan does not look at photos on a regular basis. It can take as much as several weeks for a borderline and 2 - 3 months for Appeals.

What UTA means for those who don't know is that when you have one in border line you do NOT lose your place in the Q.

At the moment,

Might take over a week, maybe 2 weeks in the normal queue as there haven't been many photos accepted recently and the queue is stacking up (typical as I have some in the Queue, will no doubt be added at the bottom of a pile of 2000!!!).

Mark,

deal with it....your work is no good anymore.....
Maybe you should give it up all the way and concentrate on the more important stuff. Big grin

You know what I mean.....

No seriously, whatever ends up in the "Johan queue" has to wait.
I have some bordercases here and there and normally it takes up to 3-4 weeks to have them processed. Sometimes even longer.

But I look at it this way, as long as you have your spot right at the sun...you can upload shots and the get processed a lot quicker.

Keep it up

I have had a few photos in the queue for over two weeks. Of 5,400 photos in the queue, there are about 350 ahead of me.

If they're good, they'll get posted soon enough. If they are rejected, I can wait many more weeks for THAT news.

Patience pays, nevertheless.
