MEX Getting Though For Spotting

Mon Jan 19, 2004 1:59 pm

Hi guys this is a post asking for some advise concerning a very ridiculous situation going out down here at MEX.

As the terrorist alarm has been very high this past weeks, there has been quite some measures in MEX around the airport.

On the inside FBI guards all over the place which really is not the point but what matters is the things going on the outside:

1.- Hangares avenue is (some days, some not) being vigilated by federal police or militars who don't let you spot at all. This is one of MEX best spotting places and now its very difficult to shoot from there.

2.- The #1 spot at MEX, famous Mc Donalds Bridge has now been completely blocked by a metal structure thru which its impossible to take a picture. Police are also vigilating the bridge and they tell you "this are the new measures"

So now Mexican spotters are reduced to 2 single places to shoot which are both private buildings and the owners let us shoot from there.

What I would like to hear are some tips on what if there is any thing possible to do that we can? Anybody has any suggestions?

Please help us now as things are getting very ugly down here.

Thanx

The U.S. FBI is there? What are they doing ? Someone must have authorized that.

Try complaining to who ever has the authority to make changes...

They got U.S. FBI Agents in mexico city????

Maybe things were stepped up last week because of the meeting of all the world leaders there. Mexico would have been an attractive terrorist target. Maybe it will all slow down in a while

It maybe was because of the meeting at MTY, today I was there at the fence and nobody bothered, but the bridge is now closed for spotting =(
