Florian,
you want to take over keeping this list updated? I am sure you make spelling errors also.

Hmm... I wonder why there is a D30 user list and a 300D user list, but no D60/10D user list. Are the owners of D60/10D's different from D30/300D owners? In other words, not interested in statistics??  Smile

IL76,
I use it to surf the database to find photos taken with that camera, not statistics. Statistics actually never even crossed my mind.

Just got the 300D for company use, and I'll get my own next month.

Presently I only have the Canon EF-S 18-55mm, but I'm looking for a good tele to take pictures at the airport.

What would be the best choice ? I'm in doubt between :

- Canon 70-200mm F/4L
- Canon EF 80-200mm
- Canon EF 75-300mm USM f/4-5.6 III
- Canon EF 75-300mm USM - IS

Is the IS worth the extra money ? Any reasons why NOT to pick one of these ?

Thanks for advice.

I thought I would list some links that have been helpful and informative to me. Surely some of you know of these, but if you don't....

  • Canon 300D forum @ www.dpreview.com There are a lot of 300D experts in this forum, but the photographers are a little more artsy than we are probably. http://www.dpreview.com/forums/forum.asp?forum=1031

  • Canon SLR Lens forum @ www.dpreview.com A lot discussion on Canon compatible lenses. I routinely find posts pointing to reviews, comparisons, etc regarding both Canon and non Canon branded lenses. A very good place to visit when researching lenses. http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/forum.asp?forum=1029

  • Canon 300D FAQ http://www.marius.org/fom-serve/cache/3.html

  • PhotoDo Lens Review Database http://www.photodo.com/nav/prodindex.html

  • I will add more links later, mainly on lenses. Let me know if you have any links that I should add to the list.

I might be on that list, soon, as I am looking into investing in a Digital Rebel.

Just to add to my collection, ya know what I mean?

Umm, I think you better re-evaluate your choice. I mean, after all, the 300D is Silver instead of black, and the bride at a wedding might laugh at it.  Big grin
