Help With Aircraft And Airline ID

Tue Feb 10, 2004 10:10 pm

I know how everyone always seems to like to show off their ID skills, so here is one for you. I took this Sunday Feb 8 over BDL. I can't figure out who it is, looks like it could be an A332. Well have at it....

BA 777 OR 767?

Looks like a world tail image.

Could be wrong though....

I would agree with Simon here. An A330 has 4 of those things (what are they called in English?) underneath the wings, while a 777/767 has only 3 (as in your pic). Plus, BA don't have any A330s.

I've found a similar pic of a (UA) 777 in the db.

The plane you photographed could be this one.

Not sure though.

Corey,

No doubt in my mind  Smile

Those engines on your image are 772 engines not 763 engines.

Definately a 777. The wing span should be a clear indication...

Yeah... The engines look quite big. But I couldn't find a 'colum' 777 in the database (I forgot that name) so I figured it was a 767 then (since basically all aircraft in the world are in this database). Big grin

Well Ben I have to agree, I went through some of the other pics I took and you can see the contrail from the apu coming out from the side and not the back. Must be G-VIIP.

It's impossible for it to be a A330, I think it's a BA 767.

What was the routing?

With correct date/routing, I can provide a registration...

I asked the exact same question at a certain other site and everyone said it was G-VIIP.

I'm not sure where she's going,I'm not even sure it is G-VIIP.I uploaded my shot to the "other" site and it was rejected for bad info.
