AN-22 Just Left ANC

Sat Feb 14, 2004 5:01 am

Hey guys,

any idea where the Mirya is headed from ANC? Just saw it takeoff and was regreting greatly that I didn't have my camera today at work.  Sad

Was really impressing, first time I've ever seen it!

Hi Dmitry,

Yes, AN-225 came from Russia last night at 10:30 pm I went there at 10:45 I took some good shots but some of them were blurry, Today at 11:00 am AN-225 departed to Honolulu and I got great shots, as soon as possible I am going home to fix those pictures and upload to a.net , right now I am at UAA Aviation Technology school.

Hey guys,

Slightly off-topic, but does anyone know where to get flight infos of those huge Russian freighters in advance? (Like for the An-225, An-124, An-22)

Hi Dimitry,

Didn't know a thing about it.

I was at work all night but didn't have my view of the north ramp because of all the snow berms we have pushed up.

Yeah,

I know how that is Shawn. I'm over across from you and got called up and told the thing was taxiing for departure, but otherwise I would have missed it!

Oh BTW.

They made the paper.

Apparently the aircraft was hauling Rail Cars. Which where going to be put on a boat to go to Chicago.

Too bad nobody suggest they put offload here and then put them on the Rail-Barge between Alaska and Seattle.

Could have saved them some charter fares.
