Settings For Eos 300D.

Tue Feb 17, 2004 12:52 am

Since this afternoon I am the proud owner of a Canon EOS 300D. I have the standard 18-55-mm lens (belongs to the package) and I was able to buy a 100-400 telelens together with a 256Mb memorycard.
I was used to shoot pictures with a normal reflex camera.
Is there somebody who can give me some advises about the settings of the camera for shooting. I normally make pictures of aircraft at the runway or taxiway.

Hope somebody will share his experience with me so I can add my pictures to Airliners.net too.

Shoot at ISO 100 only so avoid automatic programs. I also changed settings related to focus points - only at center rather than all of them. RAW or JPG? If it's just a Sunday hobby for you JPG will be fine.

The best way of learning is by trying. With digital there is really no excuse for not trying since bad photos don't cost you anything. Have fun!
