I Need Your Help(Canon D10)

Mon Mar 08, 2004 5:31 am

I have found a Cannon D10 refurbished on the net for $599.00USA and it comes with a Cannon 75-300 zoom lens.

Are refurbs a great deal...it does come with a 1 year factory warranty...It is from a independent seller.

What do I do?????.......Buy it or Walk far away... I need to here from any D10users

Regards

Randy

I would questions how the independent seller is able to offer a 1 year factory warranty- those are usually offered only by authorized dealers. The "normal" going price for a used 10D is 1000-1200 USA dollars, and the lens is at least another $100 on top of that. If it sounds too good to be true, it *usually* is. I can't guarantee either way, but it sounds fishy on two counts to me: 1) price too low 2) factory warranty from a private seller.

If you do buy it and it comes as advertised for that price, I'd be interested to hear, so let us know  Smile

Plane Doctors right,

That price seems to good to be true, $599 = EST £300

Plus with a 300mm lens?

Ask your self if its a true deal before you invest.

I'd be concerned with that deal Randy. I think even if I didn't have one, I wouldn't touch it. Refurbed + 1 yr warranty + a lens, for that price. I don't think so. There pushing something.
As Royal would probably say, "And it's a Canon, you know you're getting screwed".  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Hi Randy,

If you wouldn't mind, send me a link to where I can see this 10D- I had one stolen about a 2 weeks ago, and it was brand new. It might be passed off as a refurb, and I am still trying to find the thief. I think my email is available under my profile. I have the serial number of the stolen camera, so as soon as I can find the crook who took my camera I might find my other stuff too! Thanks.
