Orlando Advise Needed

Thu Mar 11, 2004 2:34 am

Just found out that my company will be sending me for two weeks in Orlando soon. Search on the forum gave no results so... Anyone could help about spotting opportunities at MCO and other local airports?

Thanks in advance

Thanks John. Is this 9th floor a good spot? I don't see too many pics from MCO here. Also - how about SFB?

I remember flying into SFB over a trailor park....it was pretty close to the airport....i think fence view are very possible especially when aircraft are taxiing to the gate... we landed on the rwy at the top left of the screen 09 maybe?

Pretty good traffic there... so its worth a visit!

Hmmm there are 1,788 photos from MCO on airliners.net.....lol. Seriously though, forget MCO. The only way your allowed to take photos is on top of the 9th floor on the parking garage, it's a joke. They fenced off Frontage Rd., and OPD or airport ops will chase you out if they see you. There are good spots along the runways, but you won't last long. I just got a job at an FBO here, and they told me I can't even take photos without permission from GOAA!

TPA is only a bit over an hour's drive and it's much better. You don't get the 747's, but on the parking garage they will not hassle you, and I was on the perimeter one day and a cop pulled up and asked if we got anything good.

SFB I've been hearing bad things lately. Also it's not too busy this time of year.

Chris,

We are departing from LGW at 11:15 on the 5th which is a monday. That would be really cool if you could get a pic of my departure, but don't go out of your way to do it  Smile.

Justin,

If you're there with your camera and you can get a shot of us arriving, then that would be great, but again, don't go out of your way to do it.

Thanks
-Stephen
