Rejection Question

Mon Apr 19, 2004 4:19 am

Today I had this photo rejected.

http://airliners.net/procphotos/rejphoto.main?filename=PH-MCT_McDonnell_Douglas_MD11_Martinair.jpg

For two things.
badmotiv: I already was afraid for this kind of rejection, but I uploaded but you never know

and

badcentered: Maybe, If I had the full winglet I had more change? Or to much grass.

Just want to share it here with you, because I won't upload this anymore or it will rejected for the 2nd time for badmotiv.

Great shot, looks like you solved your underexposure problem?

I think that if it were absolutely sharp and clear, it would be accepted. Although the winglet should be in completely.

If you had the gear more in the center of the picture and also maybe the winglet it might have had a higher chance. And it looks a bit soft too. As much as i like those shots i know very well from my own experience that they are hard to get into the database.

Karlok, it's well centered on the horizontal lines, you managed to capture a great smoker and cropped accordingly. However you chopped off too much of the fuselage. It would have looked better cropped like Peter's shot.

Also looks like the old heathaze played it's part here, the cheatline looks a bit wavy.

Anyway, I must say your work has been improving much lately, well done!

Wietse, Yes underexposure problem is solved.
The solution was installing a New Custom Curve File to the camera.
And also increased the saturation settings on the camera from 0 to +6, it also helps.

Tim, Thanks.
I can't show you more fuselage because this is full frame shot. I was focusing on the wheels. Next time better.

Hi Karlok,

Great shot, I love it!
I agree with Tim, a bit more fuselage would have been nice.

Keep up the good work!
