A Couple Of Badcolors....

Wed May 12, 2004 10:10 pm

Just recieved these 3 rejects.
I can agree with a bit of overexposure, as the sun was high, but I can't see any colour casts.

Krzysztof,

There is too much red in the pictures (check the Thai tail, it should be white but has a reddish cast). If this is not visible on your monitor, I recommend that you recalibrate your monitor

Also look at the sky in all three photos - it's pink, not blue, and the shadows indicate that these were taken in mid-day, overcast conditions. The sky should be gray (not necessarily blue), but definately not pink / purple.

What is the plane in the background just over the cockpit of the Thai B747? I saw it when I was at the Frankfurt observation deck last year but could determine it's type.

Codeshare:I'd say there's a bad combination of yellow and red, so fiddle with levels and color balances in PS and see what you can come away with. Like Martin said, if you don't see what we're seeing, recalibrate your monitor.

F4wso: I believe there's one of those in LHR (among other airports, obviously). Used for training purposes by the airport fire department, it's a model hybrid 747 Trijet. Actually looks pretty funky.
