Oly720 Odd Behaviour

Tue May 25, 2004 12:25 am

Any Oly720 users out there have a problem where you take a photo and the recording LED flashes and flashes and flashes........... and basically the camera hangs.

To start again I undo the battery cover and restart the camera, and the offending photo comes up very overexposed. The problem has happened, occasionally, with different SM cards, 128Mb and 64Mb.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks

Andy

Whoops...

Your topic was a bit misleading for me. This would have been too good to be true anyway:

Georg

Thanks for the reply. I've looked around various digital camera forums and it looks like just one of those things that happens. It's annoying and shouldn't happen, but hey, that's technology.

By the way, what do you think of the 750? I read one review which wasn't too impressed with the photo quality, but it could have been a bad camera I suppose.

Hi Andy.
I llike the C-750 very much. The results in good weather are fantastic and in bad weather after little practice they are very good too.

Just check out my pictures...

Hi Georg

Nice photos. That DLH A320 in your collection has come out very nicely. It's an easy photo to get wrong. Yes, DRS is a quiet airport isn't it? Are there lots of places to take photos there?

At the moment my photos go to myaviation.net (under andrew kennaugh). I've only got one on a.net so far.

I'll have to get myself sorted out and send some more in. Manchester is rather blessed with a lot of photographers so a lot of pictures look much the same.

All the best

Hello Andy.
DRS is the quietest place you can imagine for spotting, but you have some nice opportunities to spot from only planes are missing...
Bye, Georg.

Hey Andy,

I am an Olympus A720 user and you have to expect some wierd things sometimes. Most photos w/flash are overexposed and the autofocus sucks on cloudy days! Even though my 64mb card got killed becuase of opening the battery cover, I still like my camera and what it produces

Martin

yes the flash does leave a lot to be desired... too much if you're too close and too little otherwise. No happy medium. I've got a C40 as well, and the flash on that's spot on pretty well all the time.

Hey, there are 2 photos you've got that could be at Manchester... the codeshare BD/AC A330 (flying back to Manchester) and the TCX B757. Nice pix.
