It doesn't to me - Im surprised it didn't get rejected for 'badangle'.

Is it just me?

Hey A320,

I'm no expert, but I agree that yes it does look slanted, but is there a possibility that MAN has 'bumpy'/uneven taxiways in the first place? Just a thought. Great pic anyways!!

The taxiway looks like it has a dip in it, then comes back up.

It's one of those awkward ones. Sort of 'pick your reference point'! The horizon is straight though, so It seems okay to me.
It takes a big man to admit they are wrong, and I am not a big man.

Often you can't say if it's level & there's nothing wrong with that. Horizons can be unlevel as there are hills & trees and even lampposts can look awkward at times.

Thanks for your replies guys - still unsure if it's level or not though.

Scott:

If you take the light poles as a reference (on the right side) the photo is rotated a bit to the left. Try to rotate 1.04 CW...

All the best

Nice pic!

On the right side of the picture are two lighting masts. There you can see if the picture is level. It think it is nearly level. It´s a very nice picture!

Looks level to me, using the airport signs and the buildings in the background as reference. A very nice and clean shot.

And why discuss this here? It's already in the database.

Maybe Mr. Keller has had a few similar rejections? I'm not sure why he would be so interested in bringing James Rowson's image under such scrutiny.

Yep, its unlevel taxiway. If you look from the aviation park, you can see planes "tilt" slightly due to the camber of the taxiway. Especially so when planes exit runway 24R in front of the aviation park.

Though, i'm not too sure which part of MAN this photo is taken.

Hi all,

My first post here, so here goes.

To clear things up, the photo wasn't taken by myself, and seems may have to been a case of the legendary overwriting of file names that i've seen here before.
It's a great photo that Paul took, and clearly demonstrates how blooming un-even the surfaces at MAN are  Smile
I was at MAN that day, but was a mile down the runway at the rotation point with a group of other Anetters. This photo was taken at the 24L threshold.
It looks as though the correct photographer's name has been put on the photo now.

Have a great weekend everyone,

Cheers, James.
