For a screener, you could have been more precise. For example, what about the view from your window?

Hi Gary,

Thanks a lot for the insight.

Now I know what inspired the designer of BA's "Wings" scheme ...

Here's mine!

The weird keyboard was bought a few years ago when I had very big problems with hands and wrists. I'm feeling better now but just love the keyboard, it's great once you get used to it. the "normal" keyboard is there so that people other than me can use the computer. For the same reason you'll see a mouse to the right although I use a pen myself.

To the far right you'll see that new Powermac laptop I bought a few weeks back to fix Mac related problems with. It's a lovely machine although I haven't quite figured it out yet.

Cheers,
Johan

Nice 22" Gary, what resolution do you use when you screen pictures?

Looks like Johan's is in 1600 pix wide, judging by the borders.

Thomas - Wallpaper is due to be renewed this year but my heart is not in it yet. I hate re-decorating.

Christian - If you had a BAe146 shot from the roof terrace in the queue and was recently rejected.......that was me!

Craig - I am screening at 1152 x 864 on an Nvidia GeForce 4Ti 4600.

GKirk,

Not at all, but I guess most people need some alcohol/coffee combination to stay awake during long hours of photo editing. That explains the many badangel pics !

Screeners are probably not allowed - drinking and screening don't go together.

Screeners most certainly are allowed to drink and screen... its the only thing than numbs the boredom of countless LHR approach shots. I've found its also useful to have had a couple of drinks when screening marginal shots - its much more likely I'm forthright and just reject them after I've had a couple of beers! Big grin

Hi all

Part of the screener hiring process is to probe them about alcohol.

Non drinkers a no-no. You really need to be able to have a few beers or a few bottles of wine while screening. This really helps with all the mundane tripe that we get now and then.......well infact.....quite often.

Only problem is the accept and reject boxes are so close together and after a few bottles........it's easy to reject instead of accept  Wink/being sarcastic
