Spotting Locations At Heathrow

Mon Jul 12, 2004 3:53 am

I'm hoping to go to Heathrow Airport tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone could recommend the best places to view all the action from.

Is the viewing gallery still closed?

I've heard Hatton Cross is a good place to stop, is this so?

Regards,

Hi,

There are tons of threads on LHR spotting. Just perform a little search. The terrace is still closed, yes.

Longford: We only use this spot very rarely. If we do, we go up to the teracce of a conference hotel, of which we do not know the name unfortunately. If you want to risk climbing up the fire ladder, you will have a wonderful view of the airport, especially runway 27R/09L. You can shot either 27R departures or 09L arrivals. A big zoom is needed here, 300mm minimum. Get into a free H30 bus from Hatton Cross or Heathrow Central and get off in Longford.

Is that legal? lol
