GIG / EZE Advice Please

Thu Jul 22, 2004 5:41 pm

All,

I have a forthcoming trip to South America at the end of August and was hoping that someone could suggest a decent hotel to use as a base in both GIG and EZE.

Any suggestions hints tips etc are greatly appreciated

Cheers

A good place to stay in EZE is Microtel Inn & Suites. You still have to drive around 50 km to get at EZE, maybe is that a problem. You are also near AEP, 15 minutes walking and you are at the regional airport. When we where there a lot of airliners had there crew there for a overnight sleep.
Very good service and you have a breakfast in the morning.

Maybe the rates are now changed, are visit was in 2002.

Place to stay : Microtel Inn & Suites****
Costa Salguero
Av. Rafael Obligado y Salguero
More info : www.microtelinn.com.ar
Roomrates are about 80 Peso on weekdays and 55 Peso on weekends. It’s the closest decent hotel in the vicinity of AEP. 15 minutes walking and you are in the terminal.
BRU a small airport in a big world.

Don't know your budget but I highly recommend staying at one of the famous beaches in Rio, Le Meridien Copacabana have some best breathtaking view of the world wide famous beach. Inter COntinental is another one.

The travel time by shuttle bus from Copacabana to SDU is about 15-20mins, by taxi cost around 20 Rial if I remember correctly. to GIG is 35-40 mins.

Thanks Guys ,

Brubiac - Just made a reservation on their website.

Sam, I am airline staff so i am hoping to get a decent rate at Le Meridien, i didn't realise that these hotels on the beach were so handy time wise for the two airports.

kind Regards
Ryan

In Rio, the florida hotel in Catete is good. Free internet, free breakfast and a block from the Metro.
