Bad Double?

Sun Aug 15, 2004 6:26 am

I tried to post this image

http://www.airlinerimages.co.uk/Newadditions/Farnborough_F18_Boeing.jpg

It was rejected due to bad double clashing with this image, with a warning I could be suspended for posting doubles.

http://www.airliners.net/open.file/627403/L/

I asked for the above image to be removed and it was not, I then asked for it to be replaced with the one rejected and was told its a different frame.

I have noticed some photographers have many images of the same aircraft at the same event. Why then are mine classed as bad double or is it double standards??

The plane is pointing in the same direction, it is in the same stage of flight, and add to that, there are TONS of different images of this performance in the database. One moment there is just enough! Its just bad luck you are the one.

Wietse

I thought according to the FAQ you could request an image to be deleted allowing an alternative to be uploaded into the queue for screening?

Wieste if you will judge this way it means every second photo on A.NET is "BAD DOUBLE"

That's a good response Yevgeny, but not being one of the chosen few means it would never be accepted no matter which direction it was pointing.

I have seen some photographers with up to several images of the same aircraft pointing the same way on the same day Wink/being sarcastic

It was more of a case of how I could get one image removed and try to get a new one accepted, without getting a bad double or bad frame response.

Baddouble only applies to when the same photographer uploads similar shots Yevgeny. The example above would've been badcommon if anything, but they're all high quality shots so...
what seems to be the officer, problem?

Not being an expert but the 2 pictures are clearly differant.

Both are great pictures.
