No this will not make it on here.

It could be improved by removing the border on the bottom right/making it smaller/and maybe lightening up some areas, but it will never be a.net quality.

Is this A.net quality?

http://tinypic.com/5ques

Would it be better to crop the date or cover it?

It looks like if it were overcompressed... what kind of file is it ? .bmp ?

I would say :
- badlevel
- the date on the right-bottom corner has to be removed
- would need cropping and downsizing to 1024-768
- once again, looks overcompressed, or too much digital grain, I don't know exactly, but it isn't sharp enough for A.net quality I think.

Is this file the original picture ? If it is I think it would be difficult to have it accepted, even with postprocessing with photoshop.

Just my opinion though...

Flavien

edit:
PS: what is the camera you are using ?

I have tried some post-processing with your picture : after that it is obvious for me that one major problem is the over-compression of the picture.

Try uploading the original picture, exactly the one you have extracted from the storage card of your camera. If this one is also overcompressed, then next time you take pictures, you should choose in your camera setting the highest resolution - lowest compression option. Don't try saving this .bmp (?)picture in a jpeg file, as it would be even worse.

Concerning the bad level, I'm not 100% sure, but I would rotate the picture to the right by 0.5° or 1°.

What do you think I should crop? the aircraft is too small compared to the entire picture, crop from the left until the airport tower, and from the right so that it will be about 1cm left between the aircraft and the right frame of the picture. Try to keep approximatively a 3/2 lenght/height ratio. Crop also this ugly orange "19.09.2004"  Big grin

Where do you get photoshop ? you can get it on computer shops, however it is quite expensive. You can also use another picture editing program.

Once again, the major problem is that the quality of this picture is bad, I think mainly because of the too high compression. If you can give me a less compressed file, maybe I can process it for you with photoshop.

Regards,
Flavien

Why is it overcompressed?

Why is it overcompressed ?

You obtain this overcompressed result when :
- you haven't settle the finest picture quality option of your camera. Usually you can choose between 1MB - 2MB - 3MB etc. pictures, and also the jpeg compression ratio. Look at your camera handbook for more details.

- after having downloaded the picture from you camera (storage card) to your computer, you have opened the picture with a program like "Paint" or something else and, after some modification, you have saved this picture on your harddisk. This kind of cheap image editing programs saved your pictures with far too much compression.

On your picture, this overcompression is visible near the airplane's windows, for example, near the registration, and in the entire sky; it is clearly visible there after some "sharpening" with photoshop.

I ask you once again, is the picture you post there http://tinypic.com/5ques the original one, i.e. comes it directly from your camera storage card ? or have you modified it, even slightly ? or changed the three last letters of the file (.jped .bmp .tiff etc.) ?

Flavien, I've changed the last three letters. The stupid thing is that I don't know where the hard drive is.
