Help With A Badlevel Rejection Please

Sun Sep 19, 2004 10:59 pm

Hello all,
I just got this photo rejected for badcameraangle/baddark:

Any thoughts on this? About the badlevel, I opened it back up in PS, put the grid in, and it seems level to me. The problem with using the lamppost in the upper-right side is that it narrows as it gets higher, making it look like the picture is not level. Or is this just my imagination? Please help me!

About the dark, it's a night shot...wouldn't cranking up the brightness take away from the feeling of a night-shot? Thanks!

Sebastian

Disclaimer: I am in no way trying to complain to the screeners, but hoping someone can help me see what they saw!  Smile Thanks!
I guess that's what happens in the end, you start thinking about the beginning.

Nice shot, but I think it needs some cw rotation.

The subject of the photo looks quite dark, It's possible to increase some contrast. The pushback truck is almost invisible over here.

baddark: The LTU aircraft is too dark - details are not visible. You are struggling because of the brightness of the aircraft in the background.

badangle: Absolutely needs a CW rotation. Compare your lamppost and building verticals.

Hello,

I would rotate it by around 1.5° to the right, add brightness and contrast (would say respectively +15 and +20 if you work with Photoshop).

The problem, as said Tamsin, is that the other aircrafts then look too bright.

I like your picture very much however, specially the blue light coming out of the aircraft's windows.
