Sat 30th Oct Birmingham-AMS-CDG-Orly-CFE

Wed Oct 27, 2004 6:16 pm

Hi guys.

I have just bought a Canon 300D and I'm off on a trip to see some mates in France on Saturday. I'm flying with KLM and Air France to Clermont Ferrant and have 3 flights in total stoping for periods of up to 3 hours at the airports above (booked it with KLM miles).

Any pointers for spotting/photography? Any good places?

I can leave the airport building if I fancy as all tickets are seperate.

Thanks

Dan.

Dan,

you might be pushed for time to get to the good spots at AMS but you should be able to get some shots through the terminal windows if the blinds arent down or you could go up on the viewing deck.

For CDG you can get some decent shots of commuter aircraft from the road by terminal 2A, be careful of the traffic though the bus drivers are a menace.
Also you could go up on the bank at the side of the road by the IBIS which will give you a view of the cross taxiway. I have heard reports that you cant use the grass by the staff car park anymore.

Haven't been to Orly for a long time so I'm not sure of the current situation
