Sat Oct 30, 2004 7:45 pm

I was surfing around the database when I came across a pictures of Wunala dreaming.

These two examples are extremely different in colour. One depicts the aircraft as 'Australian Airlines' orange and the other brilliant red.

What I would like to know is does setting sun cause such a drastic change in colour tone, if not, what is?

I take lot of photos of planes and travel to take photos of them but I don't upload here. However it's probably the first time I've come across two photos of an aircrafts scheem and look so different.

Welcome to discuss, I'm interested to learn! Thanks!

Actually if you do a search for Australian Airlines, there is the same colour differentiation between other photographers, and Peter's photo's.

Both are the same aircraft in the picture are the 747-400ER.

The old Wunala had different (Rolls Royce) engines.

I've had some problems as well. KLM planes have a nice deep shiny blue paint but with my camera, it always comes out as a bland light blue. No problem on other airlines.

This topic would sure be interesting since I sure want to know why my KLM shots are so OFF!

A result of poor editing. Wunala is even brighter red in evening light.

I also recognized that strong hue in Peter Unmuths recent photos. They have that distinct colour that Kodachrome 64 used to show, little pale with a light yellow/green/blue hue.
Have a look at other Photos of Peter ... now I only woder why that is so?

Peter maybe you can help us here?

Yeah, Peter's shots definitely tend to have a certain hue to them.
